Collaboration
Overview
Team members, roles, departments, and permissions — who can do what in StoresBoost.
Intro
Collaboration manages the people side of StoresBoost: who can sign in, what each person can see and do, and how teams are organized. Every menu in the app is permission-gated, and this is where those permissions are granted.
Purpose
- Give each person exactly the access their job needs — no more
- Keep shop-floor staff out of settings, billing, and integrations
- Organize larger warehouses into departments with their own queues
What is inside
| Area | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Team | Invite members, suspend access, assign roles |
| Roles | Permission sets — built-in ladder plus custom roles |
| Departments | Group people for organization and visibility |
| Permissions | The catalog of abilities behind each menu and action |
How access flows
- You invite a person on Team.
- They get roles, which bundle permissions.
- Optionally they join a department.
- The app shows only the menus their permissions allow — that is why two people can see different top navigation.
