Fulfillment Providers
Intro
A fulfillment provider is an outside system that receives your shipments and fulfills them. StoresBoost can push shipments to the provider and read status back.
Open Integration → Fulfillment Providers. You need View fulfillment providers to see the list and Manage fulfillment providers to add or configure one.
The provider you can connect today is ShipStation (Send orders to ShipStation and fulfill them from there).
Connect ShipStation
- Click Add Provider.
- Click the ShipStation card.
- Details (step 1):
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Name | What this connection is called in StoresBoost, for example ShipStation Main Account. It starts as ShipStation |
| API version | V1 (API Key + Secret). That is the version StoresBoost uses |
| API key | The key from your ShipStation account |
| API secret | The secret that belongs to that key |
- Continue to Review (step 2) and start the connection. StoresBoost saves the provider and then calls ShipStation to check the key and secret.
- Connected means the check passed and you return to the list. If ShipStation rejects the credentials, the half-created provider is removed and you can enter them again. The back arrow on step 2 returns to Details.
The list
Each card shows the name, Connected or Credentials missing, the provider type, and the API version. The gear opens configuration. The trash removes the provider after you confirm.
Configure mappings
Open the gear. The header shows Credentials set or Credentials missing, Test connection (a live check, with the provider's message in the toast), and Refresh.
Edit Provider changes the name and credentials.
Four cards sit under that. Each shows how many mappings exist, how many are inactive, or Not configured / Click to configure.
| Card | What you set |
|---|---|
| Field Mapping | Which StoresBoost order field fills each field ShipStation expects. Add mapping picks Your field, then Provider field. A row can be turned off. Nothing to map yet means the provider has no target fields, or the store returned no source fields |
| Status Mapping | How an order or fulfillment status on one side becomes a status on the other |
| Tag Mapping | Which order tags travel with the shipment |
| Delivery Date | Which field carries the delivery date, and any adjustment applied before it is sent |
Mappings do nothing useful until credentials are set. After a mapping is saved, the card count updates. Refresh reloads the counts.
Day to day
- The Synced column on shipment lists shows whether the provider accepted the shipment. Open it for the sync history.
- Force Sync on a shipment pushes it again when a send failed.
- Shipment settings controls whether shipments waiting to sync are sent automatically.
- Shipment filters include Provider Sync Status, so you can queue the ones that failed.
