Packer performance

Who packed what — shipments, units, materials, and pack time per team member.

Intro

Packer performance attributes every shipped label to the team member who packed it. Use it for throughput, fairness in scheduling, and spotting where training helps.

Purpose

  • Shipments and units packed per person
  • Average pack time (Scan & Ship only)
  • Materials each packer consumes
  • Voided labels per packer — a proxy for mistakes

How packers are recorded

  • A shipment is stamped with the packer automatically when a label is created — the signed-in user who clicked Create + Print Label.
  • Pack time is measured from the Scan & Ship scan-in to label purchase, so it is only available for shipments packed through Scan & Ship. Sessions longer than 4 hours are ignored as abandoned.
  • Older shipments without a packer can be attributed by your admin with the packing:backfill command.

Tips

  • Pack time only appears when the bench uses Scan & Ship. If the column is empty, packers are labeling from the Shipments list instead.
  • Compare Voided labels with volume, not on its own — a high-volume packer will void more in absolute terms.
