Reports

Overview

What Reports covers, how date ranges and CSV export work, and what counts as a shipped label.

Intro

Reports turns your shipping activity into numbers — postage and packaging spend, what you shipped, who packed it, and who you shipped it to. Every report is built from labels you actually purchased, so the figures match what left the building.

Open Reports from the top menu. It opens the Overview report by default.

Purpose

  • See fulfillment cost per shipment, not just a carrier invoice at month end
  • Spot which carriers, boxes, and packing materials drive spend
  • Measure the packing bench — shipments, units, and pack time per team member
  • Slice sales by a custom field captured on line items (bin location, channel, etc.)
  • Build your own report: any orders, shipments, or line items matching the conditions you set

Tools on every report

Date range

Each report has From / To date pickers plus a Range quick-pick: Today, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, This month, Year to date. Reports open on Last 30 days. Deltas on KPI cards compare against the previous period of the same length.

Refresh

Click the refresh button after purchasing or voiding labels to reload the current range.

CSV export

Tables with data show a CSV button. The download is named after the report and range, for example shipping-report-labels-2026-08-01_to_2026-08-31.csv. Detail tables (labels, products, customers) are capped at 500 rows per export — narrow the range if you hit the cap.

What counts

RuleDetail
Active labels onlyVoided or replaced labels are excluded from every shipping report
Event dateA label counts on its shipped date (or creation date when no shipped date exists)
Cancelled shipmentsNever included
Store-synced labelsLabels imported from Shopify without a purchase cost show $0.00 postage
Custom field salesUses the order date, not the label date — see Custom field sales
Custom reportYou choose which date the range applies to (order date, ship date, ship-by, …) — see Custom report

Cost definitions

MetricHow it is calculated
Postage spendSum of label cost on active labels
Packaging spendBox cost + packing material cost, snapshotted when the label was purchased
Total fulfillment costPostage + packaging
Line item valueOrder line price of the shipped items
Product cost (COGS)Product cost from your catalog for shipped units
Customer-paid shippingCheckout shipping on the shipments that shipped. Each box uses its own rate; a group split across boxes shares that one price. Boxes that have not shipped are left out
Box and material costs are snapshotted at purchase time from the unit costs on Apps → Rate Shopper → Packing Materials. Keep those unit costs current so reports reflect what you actually pay.

The Overview report

Overview has two rows of KPI cards, two charts, and several breakdown tables. Hover any KPI card to see what it measures, the formula, and where the number is read from.

Spend row: Postage spend · Packaging spend · Total fulfillment cost · Shipments shipped Product row: Units shipped · Line item value · Product cost (COGS) · Customer-paid shipping

Charts

  • Fulfillment cost over time — postage, boxes, and heat/gel packs stacked per day, week, or month (grouping picks itself from the range length)
  • Shipped products over time — toggle between Retail value and Units shipped

Who can see Reports

Reports need the View analytics permission. The default Admin, Manager, Staff, and Viewer roles all include it; custom roles may not — see Collaboration → Roles. The Last 7 days snapshot on the Dashboard uses the same permission.
