Apps

Overview

Optional apps that extend checkout, fulfillment, and operations — calendars, add-ons, upsells, rates, rate shopping, inventory sync, and weather.

Intro

Apps are optional products layered on top of core StoresBoost. They shape the customer's checkout (delivery dates, shipping prices, add-ons, upsells), your packing costs (rate shopping, packaging), and your operational data (inventory sync, destination weather). Each app is gated by plan and by permission, so the menu shows only what your plan includes and your role allows.

How an app is "on"

Three layers have to line up:

  1. Plan — the app must be included in your subscription. Locked apps show an Upgrade badge in the sidebar.
  2. Permission — your role needs the app's view (and for changes, manage) permission — see Collaboration → Roles.
  3. The app's own switch — most apps are off per store until you enable them: Enable rate shopping, Enable Inventory Management, Enable Weather, Enable Calendar (per calendar), and Activate the Shopify carrier service for Shipping Rates.

Two sides of shipping money

Configuring both keeps margin visible on every order.
