Shipments

Columns

Show or hide fields on the Shipments table — tracking, carrier, ship-by date, and more.

Intro

Columns controls which fields the Shipments table displays. The queue content stays the same; you choose what you see about each shipment.

Purpose

A packing bench cares about Ship By Date, Items, and Status. A CS desk cares about Tracking and Customer. Columns lets each screen show its own essentials without horizontal scrolling.

How to use Columns

  1. Open any Shipments list.
  2. Click Columns.
  3. Check or uncheck fields.
  4. Reset to Default restores the standard layout.

Available fields

Default: Shipment #, Tags, Ship By Date, Items, Total Qty, Total, Customer, Status, Age, Synced, Tracking, Shipped.

Also available (hidden by default): Recipient / Address, Carrier, Requested Method, Shopped Carrier, Shopped Service, Order, Created, ShipStation ID.

Useful details:

  • Total is the shipment total: products, discounts, shipping, and tax for the lines on that box. Click the header to sort.
  • Requested Method is what this box’s items were sold under at checkout. A split box shows only its own items’ methods (joined with +), not the combined checkout line. With no item breakdown, it falls back to the shipment’s checkout method.
  • Shopped Carrier and Shopped Service come from the latest Rate Shopper result. The service cell shows the winning service name, and the tooltip includes the quoted price. Both stay blank until a shipment has been shopped. Click either header to sort.
  • Synced shows store / provider icons — click for sync history when troubleshooting
  • Shipment # opens the shipment; the Shopify icon jumps to the order in Shopify Admin
  • Age shows how long the shipment has waited (tooltip has the exact time)
  • Shipped is the date and time the label was created (or the shipment was marked shipped); blank while the shipment is still Awaiting or On Hold. Click the header to sort.
  • Ship By Date can be edited from the cell (pencil → Save or Clear) on an Awaiting or On Hold shipment. That changes only the ship-by date. To change or remove the delivery date, and to push the change to Shopify, use the Dates card on the shipment — see Change or clear the delivery date

Sort and page size

  • Sortable headers: Customer, Items, Total Qty, Status, Ship By Date, Age, … (click to cycle asc / desc / clear; shift+click adds a second level). Default is newest first. Multi-level sorting, item fields, and custom value orders live in the Sort section of the Filter popover.
  • Per page: 15–200 rows for the visit you are on. The number the lists open with is Shipments per page in Shipment settings.
