Advanced
Visibility
Control which shipments each team or department can see.
Intro
Visibility rules narrow what appears in shipment queues per team. A packing station for fragile goods sees fragile shipments; the mainline bench sees the rest. Less noise, fewer mistakes.
Purpose
- Split one big queue into per-team queues
- Keep sensitive or special work with the right people
- Pair naturally with Departments
Create a visibility rule
- Open Advanced → Visibility and click New Visibility Assignment (Manage visibility permission).
- Pick the Subject Type — a role, a department or an individual user — and the subject itself.
- Choose one or more Conditions from Advanced → Conditions. A rule matches a shipment when its conditions do; to scope by tag, build a condition on shipment tags first.
- Set the Effect: Allow expands what the subject can see to matching shipments; Deny hides matching shipments from them. Deny takes precedence over allow when both apply.
- Save, then have someone from that team refresh Shipments → Awaiting and confirm they see only matching rows.
The list
Filter with the All / Allow / Deny chips or search. Each row shows the subject (with a person, department or role icon), up to four condition chips (+N for the rest) and the effect badge. With Manage visibility you can click the badge to flip Allow ↔ Deny, switch a rule off with the active toggle, or remove it; view-only users see read-only badges.
Start with Allow rules per department and add a single Deny only for the shipments that must never appear at a given bench — deny wins, so one broad deny can hide more than intended.
