Orders

Views

Save filter sets as named order views your team can reopen anytime.

Intro

Views (also called saved views) remember a set of filters under a name you choose. They appear as tabs on the Orders list next to All, so anyone on the store can switch into that queue instantly.

Purpose

Views exist so you do not rebuild the same filters every morning. Define the queue once; reuse it all week.

How it helps

  • Standardize how the team works (“Fraud review”, “Wholesale”, “Same-day delivery”)
  • New staff open the right tab instead of learning every filter field
  • Managers update a view’s filters once and everyone gets the change

How Views relate to Filters and Columns

  • A view stores the filters and the sort (see Sorting) that were applied when you saved or updated it, plus column widths if you save them.
  • Columns (which fields show in the table) are separate — set those with the Columns control.
  • Switching to All clears the saved view and shows the list’s default scope (e.g. all Awaiting orders).

How to create a view

  1. Open an Orders list.
  2. Use Filter to build the criteria you want.
  3. Click Apply Filters and confirm the list looks right.
  4. Click Save view.
  5. Enter a clear name (e.g. “VIP awaiting”).
  6. Save — the new tab appears beside All.

Save view is available when filters are active and you are not already on a named view.

How to use a view day to day

  1. Open the Orders list.
  2. Click the view tab (instead of All).
  3. Work the queue as usual (search within it, open orders, tag, print).

Manage a view

Open the menu on a view tab for:

ActionPurpose
RenameClearer name for the team
Update filtersReplace the saved criteria and sort with whatever is applied now
Save column widthsRemember how wide the columns are when this view is open
DeleteRemove a view the team no longer needs

Tips

  • Name views by job, not by person (“Hold – payment”, not “Sarah’s list”).
  • Prefer fewer, shared views over many personal ones.
  • If a view suddenly looks empty, check whether tags or dates in the filters still match real orders.
