Orders

Overview

What orders are in StoresBoost, how they differ from shipments, and what every order status means.

Open Orders from the top menu. It opens the Awaiting list by default.

Purpose of Orders

Orders is where you see every customer purchase synced from Shopify. Use it to:

  • Find and review purchases (number, customer, items, payment, fulfillment)
  • Work queues by status (Awaiting, On Hold, Fulfilled, Cancelled)
  • Separate local pickup orders from parcel orders
  • Tag and print documents for selected orders
  • Jump into the related shipments when it is time to pack

Orders answer: what did the customer buy, and where is fulfillment on the store?
Packing, labels, and shipping happen under Shipments (and Scan & Ship).

Orders vs shipments

OrderShipment
What it isThe whole purchase from the storeThe warehouse work unit (one box / pickup)

Simple rule: use Orders to understand the purchase; use Shipments to pack and ship it. The full reason is in Orders vs Shipments.

Example: order #1001 ships in two boxes → one order, two shipments. The order may be Partially fulfilled while one shipment is Shipped and the other is still Awaiting.

Order statuses

StatusMeaning
UnfulfilledNothing remaining has been fulfilled on the store yet
Partially fulfilledSome items fulfilled; some still open
In progressFulfillment started on the store (transitional)
FulfilledStore considers the order fully fulfilled
HoldFulfillment paused — shown under On Hold
CancelledOrder cancelled on the store / reflected in StoresBoost

When status changes

  1. New sync → usually Unfulfilled → Awaiting list
  2. You ship or complete pickup from a shipment → store updates → Partially fulfilled or Fulfilled
  3. Someone fulfills in Shopify Admin → sync updates StoresBoost
  4. Hold applied / released → moves between On Hold and open lists
  5. Cancelled in Shopify → Cancelled

If lists look stale, use the top-bar Order sync control to pull the latest from Shopify.
